Book Announcement Basque Politics: A Case Study in Ethnic Nationalism is now available from the Basque Studies Program. This book is the second volume in our Occasional Papers Series dealing with Basque topics. Twelve authors contributed material for this book on a wide variety of topics dealing with differing aspects of Basque political life. The essays are arranged chronologically and thus provide an historical perspective on the subject matter. In the introduction William A. Douglass provides a framework for the various articles by relating them to the wider literature on ethnic nationalism. The other contributors and their essay titles are: Gregorio Monreal: Annotations Regarding Basque Traditional Political Thought in the Sixteenth Century James E. Jacob: The French Revolution and the Basques in France Renato Barahona: Politics, Ideology and the Fueros in Vizcaya during the Initial Phase of the Liberal Triennium (1820) Vicente Garmendia: Carlism and Basque Nationalism José Luis Granja: The Basque Nationalist Community during the Second Spanish Republic (1931-1936) Dorothy Legarreta: Basque Refugee Children as Expatriates: Political Catalysts in Europe and America Stanley G.
