When You Call Basque Studies... ...at (702) 784-4854, you will probably talk to one of these helpful people: Joan Brick, Word Processing Operator, came to us in 1988. Her outside interests include jewelry-making and writing. At one time, Joan taught high school English. She has studied Spanish, and she greets out visitors with effusive hospitality. Jill Berner, Office Manager and Production Editor, has been with the Program since 1976. She speaks fluent Spanish and continues to study Basque. Her knowledge of our operation and history is expansive. Her educational background is in Art and Spanish. Marcelino Ugalde, Library Assistant, assumed his current position in 1992, but he spent many years with the Program as a student employee during his college days. Marc taught high school before returning to the Program. He speaks excellent Basque, and does quite well in Spanish. |
