1993-94 Faculty Exchanges

In 1993-94 affiliate universities took advantage of several faculty exchange opportunities with our foreign host universities in or adjacent to the Basque Country. During the spring 1994 term, Patricia O’Connor went from the San Sebastián Program to teach at the University of Idaho. Ray Dacey from Idaho’s College of Business and Economics is teaching in Pau while Martine Duperrey from Pau is teaching at the University of Nevada, Reno.

The University of Iowa was also involved in two exchanges. Gorka Ormazuri, a professor of the University of the Basque Country in San Sebastián, spent the fall 1993 semester at Iowa City while Tom Lewis from the University of Iowa Spanish and Comparative Literature Departments taught in San Sebastián. Ignacio Aldekoa of the University of the Basque Country is in Iowa City during the spring 1994 semester while Nora Gonzalez is teaching on the Chile Program.
