Basque Center Grants Summer Travel Stipends USAC/UPV Grants UNR Study Grants Scholarships

USAC/UPV Grants for Research at the Center for Basque Studies en Español Travel and lodging stipends for faculty of the University of the Basque Country / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea / Universidad del País Vasco (UPV) are offered by the University Studies Abroad Consortium and the UPV jointly. The awardee’s research project must be related to Basque studies, and there must be sufficient related materials within the Basque Studies Library and University of Nevada Libraries to accommodate the project. Duration of the award is approximately two months. Selection criteria include academic merit of the candidate; feasibility of the project, keeping in mind its applicability to resources at UNR; academic record of the research team in the department at UNR where the candidate wishes to carry out the project. Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree and be a member of the faculty of the University of the Basque Country (EHU/UPV). The award will include round-trip airfare to Reno, Nevada and a monthly stipend of 325,000 pesetas.
