BOOKS - Current Research Overview

In September, 2009, University of Nevada Provost Marc Johnson (left) and Iñaki Goirizelaia, Rector of the University of the Basque Country (right), signed an agreement committing their respective institutions to collaborate in the sphere of higher education through the promotion of research activity, scientific dissemination, and the social projection of their results.

This initiative is part of the strategy the Board of Directors of the UPV / EHU to encourage the development of a research series to increase the generation of knowledge and form a diverse body of researchers who excel in all areas. This project specifically aims to facilitate and support the publication of scholarly works of superior quality in areas that have less international presence.

Since the series first volumes were published in 2010, seven volumes have been published on a diverse array of subjects including education, gender studies, innovation, international development, Basque cooperativism, and behavior and organizational change. Forthcoming books will be on violence and communication, the Basque language and Basque society as trilingual, and sustainability.
