Miguel (Mike) Olano was born in Buxturia in San Bartolome, Goeri in 1923. Miguel came to the United States in 1948 at the age of 20. He came to Winnemucca in 1963 and that is when he bought the Winnemucca Hotel. He bought the hotel with his partner, Claudio Aguirre but in 1971 his partner sold him his share of the hotel and moved. Since then Miguel has been the sole owner. Miguel has been a NABO delegate for 15 years.
